Gunes Erdogan

Prof Gunes Erdogan received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey in 2007. He has been employed in CIRRELT, Montreal (2007-2008) as a post-doctoral fellow, Ozyegin University (2008-2011) as an Assistant Professor, and University of Southampton (2011-2014) as a Lecturer. He has been working at the University of Bath since 2014. His research is mainly on exact and heuristic algorithms for integer and mixed-integer optimisation problems and their applications to healthcare and logistics problems. His expertise with exact optimisation methods includes branch-and-cut algorithms, especially for vehicle routing problems. He has authored or co-authored over 30 papers and developed four open-source solvers.
