Armand Baboli is currently Associate Professor in Department of Industrial Engineering of INSA Lyon-France (National Institute of Applied Sciences) and he carry out his research activities in LIRIS laboratory (Laboratoire d'InfoRmatique en Image et Systèmes d'information is a CNRS lab with more than 350 researchers). His recent research focus on smartness, robustness, flexibility and agility in design, configuration and optimization of production system and supply chain. His research collaboration with industries focus on the evolution of traditional manufacturing systems toward intelligent manufacturing systems and industry 4.0. To this end, he has created a research-training platform that is equipped with flexible production machines, 3D printers, robots and Internet components and can be reconfigured. He is principal investigator and manager of several collaborative contracts with Dassault FalconJet-USA (Smart Supply Chain), Volvo Group (Dynamic predictive sequencing and balancing), Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT)-France (Evolution of production system), etc.
